Brian Harsh

As a child, Brian was excellent at speaking with different accents and creating characters to share with friends. He always wanted to be an actor! He fell in love with the theater, in high school, where he was involved in numerous productions. After high school, he made financially prudent, albeit unsuccessful, plans to pursue acting in NYC; plans that did not involve being a “starving artist”, due to being a Type One Diabetic. However, he did find full-time employment in a hospital setting. He worked there for 20 years, while performing in community theater, taking general education courses, as well as voice, acting, and modeling classes in the evenings. In his early 30s, he focused on a full-time, four-year degree as a Theater major. While completing his language requirement, his French professor convinced him that he could act, sing, and dance, in his own classroom, have medical benefits, and his summers off! He earned his BA in French/Education, and his teaching license. He went on to earn his MA in French Literature and lived in France for 15 months. He has been teaching French ever since. Now, after 22 years of performing six shows a day, five days a week with a lot of improvisation, Brian is ready to pursue his dream of acting in a more professional manner.
