Michael Spitz


Michael Spitz recently returned to the Midwest after many years in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. Mostly a stage and film actor and director of many short films, he is also an accomplished screenwriter and photographer. He published "The Record Store Book", the first-of-its-kind photography book about Los Angeles record stores. He went on to publish a second book, "Queen City Records", about Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky record shops. He has studied acting with the likes of David Mamet, W.H. (Bill) Macy, Mary McDonnell, Mary Ann Thebus, and Alan Miller. He also had the honor of working with the late-great Chicago actor, Mike Nussbaum in a short comedy film that Spitz produced and directed. Other short films he has made went on to numerous film festivals. He has one feature screenplay currently in development.
