Healthy Tips for the Summer Season

Bikini season is upon us! It's that vulnerable time of year where you can no longer hide your insecurities under a layer of clothes. It's kind of scary at first, but the thrill of being by the water and basking in the sun usually wipes your self esteem issues away. To kick those initial insecurities to the curb, we have provided a few tips that can keep you healthy all summer long. 1. Drink lots of water. Consuming plenty of water can increase fat burning, make your skin glow, give you more energy, and fight those unnecessary cravings. We know, we know drinking 8 glasses of water a day is boring and frankly kind of difficult. To give your water a little pizazz, try adding berries, oranges, or cucumbers to your water. If that doesn't work, we just pretend we're sipping a pina colada (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) by the beach. 2. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Most produce is "in season" during the summer, so fruits and vegetables look fuller, vibrant, and most importantly, delicious. 3. Exercise outside. Summer is the perfect time to go bike riding, hiking, or simply just running around your favorite spot in the city. 4. Grill out. Who doesn't love grilling out? It's the perfect way to eat healthy. Simply grilling up your favorite protein and some vegetables is an easy way to skimp on the calories.
